Chicago- Atlanta Refrigeration Service CEO Dave Brautigan and several members of the office staff and service department attended the National Restaurant Association (NRA) annual Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show at the McCormick Center in Chicago May 19-22.

The NRA show is the largest commercial foodservice event in North America and is attended by more than 70,000 industry professionals from 108 countries. The four-day event features future consumer dining trends and equipment innovations, product classes and seminars, and competitions such as an ice carving contest and a chef competition.

Manufactuer booths displayed and informed visitors of advances in product design and improvement and provided part resources such as updated catalogs and pricing information.

ARS staff were able to meet and network with manufacturer representatives from current manufactuers working with ARS such as Beverage Air, Hatco, Blodgett, Pitco, Delfield, True, Jackson, Frymaster, Traulsen, Jade, Vulcan, Hoshizaki, and Bunn, just to name a few. ARS was also successful in creating new relationships with manufacturers currently not associated with the company, such as Turbo-air and Meko.

Mr. Brautigan met with representatives from Dormont Manufacturing Company. Dormont is the leading provider of flexible stainless steel connectors for gas and fluid conveyance applications. Mr. Brautigan discussed and previewed a new Dormont product geared towards ice machine installations that will be available later this year, and provided feedback on the product.

ARS staff members sampled foods and beverages of all sides of the spectrum from Budweiser blueberry beer to gelato to flavored skewers. Staff members also received complimentary gifts from vendors such as t-shirts, hats, pens, and tools.
